Each Afrobarometer survey round takes about two years to complete as national partners in 30-plus countries prepare their questionnaires, train fieldworkers, carry out fieldwork, and analyze and disseminate country findings.
Our global releases bring it all together, providing analysis across all surveyed countries on the most important and timely issues that Afrobarometer covers.
Round 6 global releases draw on up to about 54,000 interviews conducted in 36 African countries in 2014/2015, representing the views of more than three-fourths of the continent’s population. Starting in December 2015 with Africans’ most important problems and priorities , they continue in 2016 with infrastructure, lived poverty, electrification, security, regional integration, democracy, and other high-impact topics.
